Honoring our Priests

From album Knights in Action

Each year, the Delaware State Council of the Knights of Columbus partners with the Serra Club to organize Priesthood Sunday on the last Sunday in October. This day works to thank our priests for all the good they for us and encourage men to pursue a vocation as a priest. This year, Priesthood Sunday will be held on October 31st and promoted with a series of radio ads on local stations. These ads will run during morning and afternoon rush hours as well as during the day that week. The audio of that ad will be a message from Knights State Deputy Larry Gardner and Serra Club President Doctor Herb Casalena.

The Monsignor Dewson Council supported this effort with a $250 check to help support our priests and get the good news about priests out in a time when the media focuses only on the few bad apples in a wonderful bunch.

From Knights in Action

On Thursday, October 14th, 2010, the Monsignor Dewson Knights of Columbus were officially presented with the Father McGivney Award.
